Deep inside the mire lies the ancient remains of Akuri, the Barrow King. Even in death his insidious hunger for power is unending; he lures unfortunate souls deeper into the bog using visions and voices of lost loved ones. It is said that once you step foot into that stinking bog, you are lost forever.
